HAUNT YOUR HOUSE Decorating contest
Judging opens FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8
The competition was stiff during 2020’s Haunt your House Contest. Who will have the spookiest house in 2021? Community members will tour the decorations and vote for their favorites using an online map of participating homes. 2020’s contest brought in more contestants and more voters than ever before. We can’t wait to see how the residents top it in 2021! Registration opens September 14.

WESTFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The ball is back, but as an outdoor gathering like no other! Sip smoldering libations in in a “ghoulish chic” atmosphere on the grounds of the Westfield Historical Society. Dress to impress (but maybe leave the stilettos at home this year). Enjoy music and dancing, as well as offerings from local fine dining establishments (featuring Limani lobster rolls) presented in pandemic-friendly servings. The ball will build upon the success of past years while ensuring the health and safety of our guests.
Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, September 9, at 8:00 PM. All attendees must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to enter. Rain date is October 2.
The Addams Family Fun DAY
Sunday, october 17
From Pugsley to Grandmama, there's something fun for everyone at Addams Family Fun Day. Head on over to Quimby Street in Downtown Westfield, which will be closed to cars for a day of family fun -- including Addams Family character visits, live performances, incredible displays by the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, activities with some of our local merchants, and more.
DUDLEY'S DRIVE IN
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 & sATURDAY, OCTOBER 30
SOUTH AVENUE TRAIN STATION LOT
A little bit retro and naturally socially distant, a drive-in is the perfect addition to the AddamsFest line-up! At last year’s event, hundreds of families joined members of the Addams Family for kid-friendly movies and a festive night-time crowd for some scarier fare.
Sponsored by Overlook Center & Atlantic Medical Group.
cult classics at the historic rialto theater
friday, October 22 and october 29
Join us in Westfield's beloved Rialto Theater as its doors re-open this October for memorable screenings of seasonal cult classics! The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns, complete with the Friday Nite Specials Shadow Cast. And don't miss The Blob, a nod to Blobfest, which was the inspiration for our own annual festivities!
THE ADDAMS FAMILY HOUSE ON MINDOWASKIN POND
Be sure to take a photo of the floating Addams Family house on Mindowaskin Lake. Playing off a beloved Westfield tradition, this Halloween house is a nod to the replica of the Presbyterian Church that signals the holiday season in December. Take a stroll into the park to delight in the Lighted Bandstand, decorated in festive colors for the AddamsFest season.

Public murals breathe life, art and inspiration into their surrounding community. The Town of Westfield Public Arts Commission held an open contest to create murals for the Central Avenue underpass.
