Event Eligibility

To be recognized as a Friends of AddamsFest event, your event should:

• Offer a unique experience beyond a standard retail promotion or sale.

• Reflect the creative, mysterious, or delightfully unexpected spirit of AddamsFest and/or the Halloween season.

• Be presented in a professional and respectful manner appropriate for a public audience. While events may be designed for adults, families, or other specific audiences, all Friends of AddamsFest events should positively represent the festival, Downtown Westfield, and the Westfield community.

• Be independently planned, funded, and operated by the organizing business or organization.

AddamsFest reserves the right to determine whether an event is eligible to be designated as a Friends of AddamsFest event.

 

Organizer Responsibilities

Friends of AddamsFest events are independently planned, produced, managed, and funded by the event organizer. Organizers are responsible for:

• Event planning and execution

• Venue coordination

• Staffing

• Permits, licenses, and insurance (as applicable)

• Ticketing and registration

• Customer service

• Marketing and promotion

• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

 

AddamsFest and Downtown Westfield Corporation do not manage, staff, operate, or assume responsibility for Friends of AddamsFest events.

 

Branding & Marketing

Businesses are encouraged to promote their Friends of AddamsFest events through their own marketing channels.

Registration & Approval

To participate as a Friends of AddamsFest event, organizers must complete the event registration form no later than September 15, which must be approved by the AddamsFest team.

 

Following approval, organizers will receive:

• The official Friends of AddamsFest logo

• A request for event details to be featured on the AddamsFest website.

Promotional Materials

Any promotional materials using the AddamsFest name or Friends of AddamsFest logo—including social media graphics, posters, advertisements, websites, email marketing, and printed materials—must be submitted for review before publication.

 

How AddamsFest Will Support Your Event

Approved Friends of AddamsFest events may receive:

Approved events may be featured on the AddamsFest website.

Social Media

AddamsFest and Downtown Westfield Corporation may help amplify Friends of AddamsFest events by:

• Sharing or reposting social media content that tags @AddamsFest and/or @DowntownWestfieldNJ

• Featuring approved events in festival communications, newsletters, calendars, or promotional materials, as space and timing allow

 

Individual marketing campaigns, advertising, graphic design, media outreach, and ticket sales remain the responsibility of the event organizer.

 

Participation Checklist

By September 15

• Submit your event details for approval using the online registration form.

 

After event Approval and Before September 25:​

• Download and use the official Friends of AddamsFest logo.

• Submit any promotional materials using the AddamsFest name or Friends of AddamsFest logo for approval.

 

throughout October

• Publish approved marketing materials.

• Promote your event through your own marketing channels.

• Tag @AddamsFest and @DowntownWestfieldNJ on social media so we can help amplify your event.
