Have a little Pugsley or Wednesday in your family? Head on over to the Westfield Armory  This free event kicks off with a special play zone for the adaptive needs community at 10 AM.  The play zone includes an adaptive needs pumpkin stroll and inflatable obstacle to ensure that everyone can get in on the AddamsFest fun.  Our Opening Ceremony officially starts off the festival at the Westfield Armory at 10:30, with welcoming remarks from Mayor Brindle and the presentation of the skeleton key to the city to a deserving individual. Winners of Westfield High School’s Charles Addams Cartoon Contest will be announced.

 

Then, get altogether ooky with Addams Family characters and your favorite Westfield Education Association teachers!  Enjoy free Halloween-inspired creations from face painters and balloons artists. Get your ghoulish groove on at the Bandstand for a Monster Mash Dance party led by The Spinners.  Stay a little longer for a bubble show and watch the roving magician enchant you with tricks and treats. Addams Family House on Mindowaskin Pond

While following Lurch’s purple footprints throughout the park be sure to take a photo of the new Addams Family House on Mindowaskin Lake. Playing off a beloved Westfield tradition, this Halloween house is a nod to the replica of the Presbyterian Church that signals the holiday season in December.  Special thanks to Nick Mansilla of SignMax for his gorgeous craftsmanship.
